T top model value

Probably not but they do have rarity value as only about £5000 were produced and not that many survive.
The Cabbies are possibly a bit more practical than the convertible for year round driving, especially if you can get hold of one of the (very rare) hardtops to put on in the winter.
As in all these things condition is paramount so a well sorted Cabbie will be worth more than a tatty convertible.

Chances are good they overheated the motor and blew the headgaskets. Once the got the valve covers off the realized they needed a headpuller ($300) plus the gasket set and decided it was more money and work than they wanted to tackle.
If you really want the car it's worth whatever you're willing to pay for it, but on the market an XJS with bad motor and interior is worth less than $1000 around this area.
