Tire pressure: “comfort” or “normal”?
Hi gents;
I have always kept the “comfort” recommendation tire pressure on my 95 XJS 16 inch tires 26 front 28 back..... I was having the air checked today and i just realized (don’t know how I missed it before) that right next to the “comfort” suggested pressures on the label there is a column that says “normal” suggesting 34 front /36 back. I asked for 26/28 as I always have......
what do you all keep the pressures at on your 16 inch tyres/tires?? Any detriment of keeping the “comfort” recommended pressures as I have?
Thanks

Your tires will run "hotter" at lower psi and shorten the life of the tread. Suggest you try the higher psi and see whether you like the better handling characteristics and somewhat harsher ride in order to run the higher psi all the time.
Original spec for PreHE with 205/70R15 is 26 front, 24 rear. I have done many miles on 30 on all 4, but have now changed to 26/24 and I like it.
I guess 16” with low profile tires needs more pressure
