Trip computer issues

Couldn't find any specific comments on this issue so I thought I'd ask

Has anyone else encountered a 'crashed' trip computer while stomping on the gas pedal? Mine is intermittent at best but I keep losing the clock / memory when I floor it.

I would be looking for a bad connection (dry solder joint) inside the unit on the PCB. Very common in older electronics.
