Trouble with the 84' XJS HE
After spending over $1800 to get the car to start and stay running why is the car hard to start? My professional mechanic (lord bless his soul), has done all the metrics and evals and troubleshooting. He got it to run again by changing some parts. Now , every once in a while the car will not fire up, it would just turn and turn. After twenty minutes, it starts like nothing wrong!
The car passed smog with flying colors.
NOw I HAVE NO FREAKING POWER!, no geety up on the petal. I can use some suggestions or something how to figure how to get my power back in my ride.

It would be good to know what your mechanic has actuallt replaced. That would save a LOT of repeating of processes.
Hard to start, Cold or Hot??.
The NO power could be a blocked fuel filter, sad fuel pump, starvation of supply fuel TO that pump, poor fuel tank ventilation junk, spark plugs gapped toooooo wide, an EFI loom starting to get hissy (they do that now that they are 30 odd years old), the TPS could also be going flaky (this could also relate to the hard starting).
The list continues, but I will stop until the mechanics list is available.
