My XJS Trunk lock will not engage. I tried to move the U shaped catch bar on the body but I can't find the right spot to have it engage. Initially there was a gap of about 1/3 inch where the trunk lid was too high.

Any help?

 

I got it fixed. The lock bolts itself was loose and I also moved the striker U.

You can always climb inside with a flashlight as long as you have a good friend around.
