Default Vacuum hoses

bit of a daft question but if you don’t know you don’t know! I will be changing all the old vac hoses around the top of the engine and other odd places. What size are the most common? Are they metric or imperial and does it go on the I.d. Or o.d? What sort of lengths would you buy? I’m going to get some in so if I need it I’ve got it to hand. Thanks for your patience and help once more.

The diameter isn't that important. Vacume is vacume... The size are commonly imperial but you can get better silicone metric ones. Just make sure they are fibre lined, to maintain the diameter...

I think I've used mostly 3/32" and 1/8" ID hose on my V12s. There are a couple odd sizes in the mix...... and different diameters butted together with a plastic joiner.

4mm ID, Brinny for most if them. The dizzy ventilation is bigger though, measure the spigots on the dizzy for those.. Use silicone ones, good quality from Viper Performance, for instance.
