Default Valve stem seal replacement 4.0L

Hi Gents, After getting the XJS up and running, I'm getting some smoke after startup and I want to plan on replacing the valve stem seals, maybe this fall/winter. I've read through some of the threads on doing this, but I can't seem to be able to find one where someone actually did the job and posted on it. My first issue is the correct/best valve spring compression tool to use.. I came across this tool on youtube and it looks simple enough to use.
Does anyone have a better suggestion?

When I worked at the dealer I was the only one that replaced the stem seals on the AJ6/AJ16 engine with the head in-situ.

Compressed air to hold the valves with cam cap spacer and bolts to keep the head clamped down on the head gasket.

A pile of fender covers and blankets to sit cross legged like a garden gnome on top of the engine/fenders.

Head off is what others did but it can be done with 'head-on'.

Also done the head ON method, NOT on a Jag.

Can be scary, coz if the Comp Air is lost, so is the valve, bugga.

Our AJ6 (XJ40) did what yours is, and we decided to change the oil, and go for a looooong blast, about 900kms. Sorted the beast, still smoke free today, 17 years after that blast.

The seal removal itself looks straight forward, but what about the cams...Do I need an alignment tool to do this? Or are they just simply removed?

Tool recommended.
The timing is basically the same for AJ6 and AJ16.
