Default Vent position question.

On my 93 XJS is there any position on the climate control that just gives you vent open, fresh air, no heat no air conditioning?

I dont think there is.
I would have thought the only way would be to disable the AC compressor clutch then switch on the blower, you could either remove a wire on it or fit an extra switch.

Default My 95 the other the way

That's funny. My 95 always has air coming through the center dash front vents with the ac or heat turned off. I can only control it's temp by adjusting the sliding lever just above the radio. It doesn't come out if the car isn't moving so it would appear to be fresh air.

I think you have a blower inlet vent that is not completely closing. The XJS has no fresh air ram facility as standard. Either the HVAC is on, or, as standard on any model, there is no fresh air entering the cabin though the heater.

Thanks for the replies guys, I just thought it was weird that on a convertible with the top down in the middle of summer you're only choices were air cond. or heat!
