Default Wanted: Best V12 Engine Book

What is the best Jaguar V12 engine book I can buy? Is there one with lots of pictures explaining every detail of how every system works?

Sadly, AFAIK nothing out there. The factory repair manual probably a good idea, and the Haynes manual has quite a bit in it too.
When I rebuild my engine, which it will never need but I want to ensure my boys have a car with everything as new as possible when all too soon I am too old to drive, I am going to write such a book, with all singing and dancing illustrations! just 7 years to wait Andreas!

I just dropped off the V12 at my local mechanic for a tune-up. We will see how well it goes. :-)

Has the mechanic got experience of the V12? I do hope so, and that you have a clear idea of what he will be doing.

When I replied to this I think I misread it as a you wanting a book about rebuilding the V12. If you want a book explaining it, the Great Palm's book, a free download from Jaglovers is a very good start.

There is not much to tune up on a V12, plugs, rotor and advance mechanism (pre Marelli). Clean the injectors and you're go to go.

There is however much to do to ensure a reliable V12 and Palms book covers all of this.
