Default Wanted: Good and fast source for 1988 XJS Radiator

I just drove my 1988 Jaguar XJS to the repair shop to find out whether the radiator can be cleaned out by flushing it several times. If it can not be cleaned, where can I get a good radiator fast? Should I upgrade to the high performance aluminum version or will a standard new radiator do? The entire cooling system (pump, thermostats, sensors, switches, hoses) is being replaced. This is for a daily driver, not a show car.

Thanks,

Andy

Andreas, Wizard radiators are the absolute best aluminium radiators, made in the USA and are probably the best option if the cost is doable for you, if the car is a keeper. Ensure you tell them the type of oil cooler fittings you have on your existing rad (threaded or spigots), and if you need the temp sensor port in the LHS tank or not (I think NOT in your model).

However, having your current one re-cored is another good option, which any decent radiator repair place could do. New OEM style (ie not ally) ones are available in the UK, but with shipping etc, Wizard may be no more expensive. maybe these are available from the USA suppliers, worth asking SNG, Coventry West etc.

That looks like a very good option. Thanks! The hunter green princess (1988 XJS) is definitely a keeper. I waited for a year to get her. When the seller finally put her on the market, I bought her within an hour.
