Default What do you smell like in your XJS?

Following on from: Another Jaguar Spotted in a Commercial
which was based around Cologne and Fragrances.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ercial-138651/

I was wondering if some of you Guys and Gal/s might like to share what After Shave or Cologne or Fragrance, you like to wear when out and about in your XJS or other model of Jaguar.

If you are going to drive around in such a luxury Sports Car, then it would seem to make sense (no pun intended) to do so Smelling nice!

Or at the least not smell like an old bucket of Diesel.

You can if you want list all the ones you have tried and what you think of each particular one.

Or if preferred divide them up, in to the ones you wear or a daily basis as well as the more expensive ones, you wear on a Special Night Out.

So I'll start with my everyday Fragrance which is 'Joop pour Homme'

'Joop' has got such a really 'Big Hit' that you don't need to splash it on all over!

Just a tiny drop of this seems to last forever on your Skin.

Its Sweet and really 'out there' and smells like walking through a field of 'Blossom'

Although I've tried loads of others, this is the one I always seem to come back to.

Though on a Night Out, I wear 'Chanel Pour Monsieur' which has a lovely lemony citrus flowery quality, with a very nice dry down while at the same time having a very subtle note.

The Perfect 'old school' after shave for a Club or a Crowded Venue, which is also a perfect match for the XJS.

But does anyone either use or has tried 'Jaguar' After Shave?

I've tried it and quite like it Bro!

Very sweet like a mixture of Cranbury and Grapefruit but a nice aftershave all the same.

Not sure about Car Air Freshner, that's only for Cars that smell bad!

Yup! I'm sure we all smell like a bucket of diesel sometimes but Irish Spring Soap is both Fresh and Invigorating.

If you ever need an After Shave to match it, there is one called 'Lucky You'
like a walk on a freshly cut lawn just after the rain and certainly not overly expensive.

Or If not try 'Mugler Cologne'

I am a big fan of the Chanel for men colognes

Platinum Egoiste
Bleu
Antaeus

All in my bathroom. My XJS smells like any one of those and probably faint Lexol leather conditioner.

Chalk up another one for Old Spice here.

My Jag usually smells vaguely tropical due to the leather conditioner I use, but I'm trying to find a more "signature" scent.

You are very obviously a Guy with excellent taste!

Platinum Egoiste: Aromatic with hints of Rosemary, Clean fresh and Classy just like the XJS!

Bleu: Very much like 'Green Irish Tweed' my all time favorite Fragrance!
Aromatic with hints of Sandalwood.

Anteus: Very Masculine, Bold and Warm and Woody and so intoxicating, that girls seem to be drawn to it, like iron filings are to a magnet!

Works best after dry down, then watch the magic happen.

Not much to dislike about its Spicy Floral fragrance.

A True Classic just like The XJS.

I'd recommend getting a woman's opinion on how they smell also. What I think smells nice my wife think's smell's like fly spray! ha ha ha. That was when i used something ***** called Black Musk (L-Cheapo brand)

She hasnt complained too much about the Red however she does if I "over do it"

Her favourite is Tommy Hill Colonge on me

'Joop Pour Homme' is a Signiture Scent, that packs an unbelievable punch from the moment you put it on, so it only takes a few drops of the stuff to give you an all day Fragrance, that you may just love!

Not too expensive price wise, so 'Joop Pour Homme' is my 'Workhorse everyday Fragrance'

Though if you want to go to the other extreme, then Chanel Bleu is a perfect Signiture Scent.

Tommy Hilfiger

True Americana Bro!

Instantly recognisable, fresh and aquatic which has hints of Bergamot and Grapefruit.

A big hit when you put it on but works best after dry down.

You've narrowed it so I can't play, OB, because I don't drive an XJS!
No matter, I'm crashing your party anyway:

I don't wear "fragrances" of any kind. My Sunscreen has Quite enough fragrance of its own.

Yup!

This is a True Classic of the 1960's and used to have a metal sleeve on the top of the bottle.

Quintessentialy nice and soft and spicy with a hint of musk and vanilla.

Almost a niche Fragrance in its own way, not overbearing which makes it ideal for wearing every day, while also being long lasting.

If multiple ladies buy you the same fragrance, it's likely The Right Stuff(tm)
because they are buying what they like.

I have never bought any fragrances except very early on, but somehow
I have multiple bottles of one particular, and only that one particular,
fragrance in my possession. Enough to last a lifetime.

No, it hasn't been listed in any of the posts yet
