I've been searching forever and can't find any info on this badge.
My 1983 jag is labelled "EXJS" on the back and i can't find diddly about it.

I bought it for a build i wont go into detail about because you'll all be unhappy with me (and no not a chevy motor i promise)

I'm sorry to tell you (gently) that you're in the wrong forum. Only 4 headlight Xj6s here.

It's telling you that its an XJS but the E stands for Electronic fuel injection.

 

Someone has goofed up the badging, that's all.

What you're suppose to see is "XJS" on the left side and "HE" on the right. The "H" has gone missing, intentionally or accidentally.

The "HE" stands for "High Efficiency". After '86 or so Jaguar decided the HE engine was no longer new and exciting and no longer merited special identification......and replaced the "HE" with a simple "V12" emblem

My guess would be XJ-S HE as Doug said.

This was a new version of 5.3L V12 engine fitted to XJ-S from 1981 onwards.
The principal difference being the replacement of the previous "flat head" that had combustion chamber in piston with a new cylinder head designed by Swiss engineer Michael May.

Early HE engines had a rather remarkable compression ratio of 12.5:1

The main benefits were cited as an ability to run leaner mixtures at part throttle operation to improve fuel consumption by a claimed 25%.

Put simply you could expect, on a good day to get 16mpg in urban use from an HE versus 12mpg for Pre HE engines.

The downside to the HE heads fitted to all post 1980 V12 models including 6 litres is that they are considered to be more difficult to get significant power increases when compared to the flat head from Pre HE

 

Recent research revealed that the May head "HE" head is actually one of few stratified charge designs.

And if I was to move badging around I wouldn't make it an "EXJS". "XJSEX" has a better vibe.
