Making some changes to the brake lines, i need to order a flaring tool. Anyone know what style of flaring Jaguar uses (need to tie into existing fittings)

there appears to be 3 different styles of tool: flared, double flare and bubble.

Depends on the year. I think ( don't hold me to this) except for the very early cars that were inch threads, they are an ISO-Metric flare. You'll know if the nuts are metric or SAE sized across the flats.

The XJ saloons changed at Series 2, so in 1974 they went from inch sized to metric.

The pre-facelift HE cars' connections are SAE double flares. The front brakes' bleeders' threads are metric, the rears, on the inboard braked cars, for the connectors and the bleeders are imperial UNF.

The bolts securing the front brake calipers are metric fine thread, they look like UNF, but are NOT.
Inboard braked cars rear brake calipers' bolts are (I think, not quite 100% sure) also metric fine thread.

Thanks. The thread of the fittings should be easy enough to figure out, its the style of flare i wasnt sure of. I will get a tool that does all 3 styles, problem solved!

If you still need a flaring tool, I have one I bought years ago, which I never even opened.
Best I can recall is it did all three flare types.
If you think it's worth the shipping cost let me know.

Btw, just in case anyone was wondering,

my 1986 has bubble flares(ISO/DIN flares)

the fittings at the master cylinder are M10 and M12, 3/16” line.

it is not a double flare
