Hi Grant

Cheers!

The only size I haven't got! but I'll get one

Another Forum said 16mm which I have got but it did feel a little bit loose, so I thought I'd better double check

16mm will do. It’s 5,04/8 of an inch, ie within 1%

Hi Leo

I used a 16mm on my V12 because at least you can see what is happening but on an AJ16 the Spark Plug is a long way down that hole and if it were to round off, for some reason

Then you might have to do some dismantling to try and get the Plug out

Mate, the rest of the world, apart for UK and USA use metric tools on the AJ16. 16 mm is more than sufficient!

Just as a 'the more you know': the AJ16 is te second purely metric engine from Jaguar. The AJ6 being the first (at least to my knowledge). So even the spark plugs were chosen to be as metric as possible.

.04" is like nothing. You won't strip or snap the plugs if you just turn them properly. If needed back and forth until out. I doubt anyone has ever managed to snap plugs in the AJ16. The V12 is understandabe due to the angle but not the AJ16...
