Hi Guys

During the MOT Test when the Tester was looking at the Engine, he pulled this little Metal Tube out of what appeared to be the back of the Air Intake

But I forgot to ask him exactly where it came from

Does anyone know what it is and where it came from?

It looks like it could be a spacer tube that went inside a rubber grommet or something like that, good job that it never got sucked into the Engine

 

I assume this could come from several areas. But if my memory serves me right, I think I've seen a spacer like this one used for bonnet gas strut bolts.

Yass! I think you've nailed it!

I was doing a Mod to the Bonnet/Hood Struts and must have laid that Spacer on top of the Inlet Manifold, because that Spacer was missing but not anymore!
