What is this White Wire with the Black Connector?

That is the dreaded white wire.

On Marelli cars (early ones at least) pin 24 of the Marelli goes into the engine bay and connects to where the Lucas ignition amp used to be. Obviously Jaguar did not change the main harness through the car.

If you disconnect this wire the ECU will not fire the injectors.
