Default wheel studs for 91

so i need new tires in the rear, but my problem is one of my wheel studs is pretty screwed up, so i cant take it to like discount tire or anything because they wont put it back on...

so what im wondering is, where can i get studs at? autozone... well they have their heads in the clouds and say they don't have the studs i need, which I sort of believe but who knows. So im wondering where I can pick up rear studs for my 91 xjs....

Hardware store. You need a stud the coarse thread on one end (into the hub) and fine thread one the other (into the lugnut). The thread size is 1/2-20 for the fine thread and (I think) 1/2-14 on the coarse thread. Maybe 1/2-16. I forget.

The studs are screwed in and then staked from behind. The screwing in part is easy but there's no way to stake the new stud without disassembling the hub....no insignificant task.

The staking keeps the stud from turning. You could still just screw in a new stud....maybe with Locktite or something...and then install the lugnut. But whenever you remove the lugnut the stud might come out with it

Cheers
