Question Where to buy wiper arms?

My 1986 LHD needs new - or used - wiper arms.
Found a used replacement wiper motor, which unfortunately was lacking the arms, as well as the nuts below the arms.

Have searched the internet for a few days now (eBay, Martin Robey, SNG, David Manners etc) without any luck. Don't think anyone makes them anymore.

So, does anyone know where they can be found, or are there wiper arms from any other car that can be used?

Apologies if this has been answered before in this forum, and if so, just post the link again, please.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

//Ronnie

Hi Vee, could you please send the link to them from eBay - I can only find a pair from a 95 on eBay.com, and none on eBay.co.uk

I may obviously type in the wrong search criteria..

Cheers

PM Sent!

I just inserted Jaguar XJS Wiper Arms into the search bar.

I was surprised to see how many facelift arms are out there...

I have a like-new pair available now, since I put on a stainless vintage pair from a 1975-80 XJ-S if you want them. Post a reply and I will give you a link to them.

Hi Benj628, sorry for a late reply.
I took the old girl for a 4 day spin over the weekend, and was largely without internet

Please send the link to your wiper arms

Sincerely

//Ronnie

Hi agin Benj628

Excellent, I'll take them. However, it says: Does not post to Norway. If i click "Buy it now", will you quote me postage, please?

Sincerely

//Ronnie

And also; To avoid lots of extra "red tape" & Norwegian taxes, please label the package with "Used car parts", total value "USD 15" - we've got some strict rules in this country.....

Oh, yes, I didn't realize you were not in the US. I'll gladly ship to you there. You should be able to purchase through eBay and I will adjust the shipping before sending you the official invoice. I'm not sure what the actual shipping will be so I will just quote you 15 USD and I will pay whatever difference myself. And yes I'm familiar with the absurd Customs requirements so I will gladly label it appropriately for you :-)

You can see to the right the bend is down for left side parking and must be reversed for right side parking.

I purchased a set but the bends are incorrect so I am still looking.

Can’t you just bend them the other way by hand. Can’t be hard.?

Yes, you can, very easily. Best to put the thing in a vice so the pre-bend straight is held firmly.
In fact, as OEM, even when the arm's location on the splines makes the blade end nearest the spline as low as possible, the other end of the blade still is not flat. If you bend the arm a bit further at the OEM bend spot, then the blades will lie dead flat along the bottom screen seal. The outer end will still overlap the side seal a touch, but it does not seem to harm the blade.
