The PO of my donor had Crane do a special grind on their cams in my motor. I'm not sure Crane offers XJS cams anymore. I don't see them listed on their website, but, you may want to contact them to see if they have any NOS sitting in the warehouse, and if they would do a grind for you. Isky also used to offer cams for the XJS.

Do you have a specific lobe profile in mind?

BTW, the lobe profile on my Crane cams is 270 degrees of dwell and .43" of lift.

Anyone been able to find new cams for the v12? I have this 6.0 and it's itching for easy mods.

Try either Crane Cams, or, Isky. The demand for Jag V12 cams is so low that they don't list them online, but, give them a call, and I bet you'll find that they either have some sitting on a shelf in the warehouse, or, that they can grind a set for you from their blanks.

Another source is www.V12sales.com

cal, reground factory cams really are not the best engineered, for performance, regrinding reduces base circle diameter, and that increases stress at the tappet and valve. also the best of Jag V12 guys used a large diameter base circle, along with larger diameter tappets& blocks

you seem like your building a serious engine, myself i would try to find some unfinished core blanks, and have them finish ground to a usefull specification!

a set of hi-performance 5.3 cams may not give the performance you expect!

just maybe a set of 6.0L would be closer to your requirement, they are designed for a 6l engine by Ford engineers.

Cal:

You can always try Rob Beere....

And there's Piper, in the UK. Probably can get what you want with new forgings/castings. As I recall, you have to email them for the jag v12 stuff, but I do recall seeing a listing on their site at one time.

Ronbros:

We are talking jag v12, no? Aren't we used to the extraordinary cost of speed equipment for this (ha ha ha)?

No kidding, though- agree on your post! Just havin' fun.
