Does anybody know if the carpets in a 1994 are Wilton Wool? I'm going to get different cleaning stuff if so.

Bonus question: does anybody know if this is original/normal - my driver's side has an embossed jag logo while the passenger side is flat?

Bonus Bonus question: does anybody know where to get the metal grommets to attach the front carpets to the turnbuckle securing points at the back?

Wilton wool has not been used since the 60's, so no, not in the XJS. The person to talk to regarding all things XJS is Paul @ Pauls Jaguar in S.Florida.

However, it seems that the replacements I've found are now manufactured out of Wilton Wool. Anybody taken out the entire carpets? How much is glued down? How many pieces are there in the whole set?

Trying to decide between the easy route (just the front carpets) and the OCD route (whole carpets)

 

Talk to Pauls Jag - he has been buying this stuff from Jaguar for 30+ years and is an authority on the subject
