I would like to upgrade the wheel on my 1988 jaguar xjs and i would like to get the wire wheel. I would like to ask if someone can help me on what size of rims and tires should i buy. Where can i buy those wire wheels. I live in southern California. Thanks

The wires are significantly less strong and stiff compared to an alloy wheel, so if you intend to drive your car aggressively, I wouldn't go with wire wheels. As a minimum get 72 spokes to cope with the weight of the car. Dayton Wire Wheel is who makes wheels for Jaguars Dayton Wire Wheels

I bought mine from Dayton Wire Wheel in !998. I've never had any trouble in those 20 years. I did blow the diff, tore out 4 sets of rubber V mounts & one U joint.I must add most was done after I installed the 5sp manual & 3.54 diff. doing just about everything you shouldn't with a Jag. Aggressive driving was putting it mildly. BTW these are 60 spoke wheels. Just my experience with wires.

Make sure you get 16" ones as the choice of tires is better
