wiring colors on oil pressure sender/switch

wiring colors on oil pressure sender/switch
1989 xjs 5.3 and I pulled the two wires off the sender and switch accidentally...have no idea which goes where. I think I remember white on the sender and black (or very dirty dark brown) on the switch...but I'd like verification.
