Default wiring issue.. many.. eighth and last...

Final, for now... The main coil. It is the 'newer' single coil instead of the dual.. But I can not find a '+' or '-' on it... I assume - looking at photo, the left side is positive and right side is negative. But would really like to know prior to connecting any wires... which from my multiple earlier posts... I don't even know which ones go on the coil. Any help please...

If yours is like the several I've purchased over the decades the markings are very tiny. Clean the area well and look very closely !

Cheers

I swapped from a dual coil set up to single coil a few years ago. I agree with Doug that there should be a tiny + or - on the coil. I believe it’s between each of the two tangs. In your photo I think you are right that the + is on the left. If you zoom in on the first photo I attached, you can barely see a faint “+” between the two tangs on the single coil I installed.

I don’t know if it will help or not, but I took the 2nd photo when my dual coil setup was still in place to capture the various wires going to the main coil. Positive is on the left and neg is on the right. The throttle pedestal is to the left.

The two wires coming from the sleeve at the top are coming from the ignition amplifier. The two wires from the sleeve at the bottom were from the 2nd coil at the front of the engine bay. Some people remove them completely when getting rid of the second coil, others may just leave them loose.

The remaining white wire runs to behind the throttle pedestal, but my memory fails me at the moment as to where it goes.
