XJS Battery power distribution diagram with circuit info
I have added circuit labels on the XJS 4.0L Jaguar battery distribution diagram. This will be handy when troubleshooting for battery drain because I've labeled where each line or fuse goes. The entire diagram is hot 24/7, even when the ignition is OFF, so any current flow above the normal 40 to 50 ma will represent a battery drain. Also, when something is not working, the label will indicate what fuse to check for 12 volts before and after the fuse. I have an older fuzzy diagram with hand-written labels but hard to read or print, but which I may have posted here previously, I dunno. This one now has typed labels, so it's clear to read.

On my 94 XJS I have installed a battery switch that can either switch the main battery OFF or to switch to a second battery. I've added a smaller second battery that I switch to if I know that the car is going to be parked for a while. Besides, I have sound equipment with presets that are lost if the car is not connected to any power, ditto for the trip computer, so this way I have it all under control.
