Default Which XJS' had a LSD Salsbury rear with imboard brakes

There is a rough looking early 80s XJS at a local pull a part. I was wondering which models came with a LSD rear and how does one tell if it is an lsd (aside from turning the wheel if it is neutral as it isn't so I can't). Would love to pick up a LSD for my TVR.

Thanks!

If it's a 70s or 80s vintage XJS with a V12, it has limited slip.

Cheers

Not unless you'll get it to me for $50. Its worth that to me to yank it (nice cheap pull a part) but the prices they command (rightfully so) not so much, But thanks for the offer.

Benebob,

The upgrade is very doable. I did it myself on an XJS early 80s in my garage with a floor jack. Well worth doing if you can get the diff. cheep.

Yeah I can get it nice and cheap. Only problem is the gearing is quite different I'm guessing in the stock TVR 280i Salsibury rear. Won't be nearly an issue once the 302 goes in but I'm just planning ahead since one popped up for $50

Benebob

Be carefull about assuming that diff is a LSD as XJS cars discontinued LSDs sometime in the early 80s, don't remember exactly when. I think all model years prior to the switch were LSD.
