Default XJS Headlamp Glass

Perhaps not the best method but the only solution I could invent.

I needed to replace the cracked driver side head light cover, so I ordered a used one from the UK

Little did I realize the replacement would be glass. Duh.

I wrapped the edge where the glass meets the housing with rubberized sealing tape.

photos show the assembled unit and installed in the car with the bezel trim.

The car actually looks better with the glass cover. I suppose US regulations mandated plastic covers?

Thoughts?

The glass looks nice, but what is the hose / or should I say Machine Gun Barrel????? For? I can tell it looks factory? by the rolled edges of the bumper? But I haven't ever seen one like it before. Curious.

It's to shoot BB's at the Chevys and Fords trolling in the fast lane.

The headlamp washer needs replacing.

I get it. I didn't realize Jags ever had those. I've seen them on Beemers and Mrec's but I didn't ever remember seeing them on a Jag? You learn something new everyday.

Indeed. It might not pass inspection, assuming you even have them where you live. The glass will be cut/moulded to throw light the "wrong" way.
I wonder if you could order the other side light cover and turn it upside down...?
