XJS Hood Bonnet Liner Insulation shield
I have the original bonnet liner pad. It is in good condition, no tears.
It bulges slightly in the middle and is rubbing the top of engine leaving black residue.
I am able to get to the back of liner. Is there some substance I can use to glue/cement the pad back in place? It needs to be heat resistant and I believe the pad is made of fiberglass. Not positive.
Thanks
For any help. ROBERTL

Ditch the crummy fiberglass insulation!
I bought 1/4" thick closed cell vinyl nitrile insulation. I used 3M #80 spray adhesive and have had no problems!
I too had the black marks from the sagging insulation. It was also damaging the cruise control bellows so I knew it had to go.
Where to buy the insulation? Google it. I bought mine on ebay, but there's no shortage of options online.
