Was that 6K dollars or yen for that work?

OTOH, that shows you what it's going to cost you to get NOTHING done to this car when you have no money and limited mechanical skills.

That was about $100 worth of parts there. Even a rebuilt master cylinder is cheap and a 15-minute job if you don't count bleeding.

Sorry, but these cars demand a certain type of owner - one with excellent mechanical skills or a CRAPLOAD of money.

An 88 can have ABS brakes and those brake masters are about $1000.

Where can you get a brand new Teves Master cyl for USD 1000? Or did you mean used? Last time I checked a new one was well and truly on the scary side of USD2000!

I also cannot tell which valve is my power steering fluid. Is it on the right side(if you are standing in front of the car looking at it) or in the middle?

I just checked and they are $3000 USD new. Used I saw one for $1500. So I was mistaken. Glad I have non-ABS brakes.

Maybe I'm lacking in caffeine, but this question confused me...can you clarify?

Ahhh...ok, you mean the fill cap for the resevoir. Yes, if you,re facing the car it is on the right side just below the airbox intake. Use a long thin funnel to prevent spilling fluid onto the belts.
