1 Day Squawk list
That I just sent to dealer on a XKR with 64 miles on it on Friday:
1.The sport mode has yet to light up or indicate it is on, as one of the other similar switches as well.
2.The Bluetooth connection drops the phone constantly.
3.The usb connection frequently needs to be jiggled to be recognized.
4.Past 2 days I needed to shut the car off in D because I could not place in P or jiggle way too much to achieve same thing

Not a good start....
I hope that Coventry is not returning to its old ways of questionable quality. Hopefully once you debug the new car, it will remain trouble free. I did read about a few problems with the new rotary transmission shifters.
They will likely blame the phone issue on YOUR particular phone, as in my case where my previous phone paired up nicely with the car but, with my new phone it jumbles the names on my calling list. Otherwise it does not drop calls.
Wish you good luck with the car. At least you have a long warranty...

I'm waiting for a new drivers door panel (6 weeks now) and will add the following to my "hit list when that comes in and I have to take another day off work to take the car over to St Louis for repair
Steering wheel heater
Both seat heaters
Rear window defogger
I checked the fuses and they all look good. I wonder what the connection is to these three items is???
BTW mine is an 2008 XK vert with 39K miles. Thank god I have factory warranty until Nov.

Sorry to hear that. The Cadillac CTS I purchased new back in 2003 was in and out of the shop a cumulative total of four months. On the one hand, I prefer to discover and resolve issues early on, while the car is still under the factory warranty. On the other hand, going back and forth to the service center, signing out a loaner, etc. is just an inconvenient whether the car is under warranty or not!
I would start asking for goodies in return for the inconvenience, such as caps, mugs, tee shirts, free oil changes, etc. ...

Sorry to learn of this but hopefully all will be corrected quickly.
I will take my car on a thorough extra long test drive before I sign on the dotted line and have any issues, if any, tended to before I take delivery.
FYI
In the latest JDPower problems per new vehicle they rated 3rd highest quality just under Lexus and Lincoln.

Hmm...looks like all the instrumentation issues were part of, as my IT guy likes to say, an ID 10 t malfunction. SHoulda known...I need to hold the buttons down to turn them on. Apparently I have a faulty USB device as well. They cannot recreate the transmission issue...now just waiting to hear the outcome on the Bluetooth....

ID 10 T Malfuction = User Error
ID 10 T is tech speak for Idiot - I was not holding the buttons down until light goes on and service is on. I tapped vs 1 second hold.
Additionally!! I was not pulling up on the knob to take the car out of gear! Who knew! As a master of iDrive, I am surprised I was beat by technology here.
Only real issue is they say car does not support my Blackberry Tour, which is the only international phone with a fixed data plan, so I won't be changing that soon
