Which wheels to use. Oddly, the car came with orig 20" with 8-10 years old winter tires. And a 19" set followed with 1 year old Pirelli P Zeros. Should have been the other way around.
Until now I drove the 20" and it drove fine, I don't take it to the track or anything. But I felt it better to use up the 19" with the good summer tires. I don't plan to use the car in snow.
But what about the looks. Should I wear down the 19" which can take me 2 years? Or buy tires for 20"? Are the 19" (one has major curb damage) worth anything to anybody, what car were they for, do they fit other than Jag?
Picture of 19" and 20", they all drive well

I would put decent tires on both sets and run the one you like the most at the moment and change to the other when you want a different looks. I ended up with a set of Toba's from a newer XJ and they have =10% taller tires on the 19" rims and it gives the car a lowered appearance while riding sedan smooth. Thin sidewalls means rougher ride and more likely to bend the rim.

The car will have a smoother ride with the 19s, as well as better protection from wheels bending when hitting pot holes. Handling is also a bit better with 19s as they absorb bumps better during cornering. For street driving you will never feel any cornering advantage from the larger wheel/tire combo. The 20s do look somewhat better...

They are Toba's from an XJ. I want to say 8.5" front and 9.5" in the back, 19" diameter although the sale pages show them as 9" front and 10" rear... The XJ runs a taller tire so they fill the wheel opening up and there's a 20mm H+R spacer on the rears.
I have my 19" Jupiter's in the shed but they need redone. These Toba's actually look like a more refined version of the Jupiter, smother and less angular.
