Default 2 new rear OEM spring on 2012 XKR

Hi guys been a while. Got the XKR up to 51,000 miles so far. Noticed in the last several thousand miles some left rear wheel rubbing compared to the right. So, went to jag dealership and low and behold there was some sagging.

Got 2 new rear OEM springs put on.

WOW... amazing difference. Seems more planted and much less body roll under acceleration the car really feels like its putting the power down.

So. If your XK is getting up there is age consider the upgrade or replacement of your old springs.... I know the car feels night to day better.

Don't need it yet but it's good to know. What was the cost of doing this?

Expensive. Rear springs are a massive pain in the *** on these cars, as they are hidden from the wheel well (unlike most other cars where you can see the whole suspension). Techs have to expose the trunk liner and such to get the whole assembly (strut and spring) loose. It's something like 3.5 hours for the rears from a dealer.

Wow, I'm surprised springs only lasted for such a short period of time.
