2007 XK 18" Rear Tire Size Variation?

2007 XK 18" Rear Tire Size Variation?
My low VIN 2007 XK Handbook and B pillar placard specifies 275/40ZR18 for the 18" wheel rear tires.
When researching replacement pricing both the dealer's service advisor and parts manager referenced print-out sheets for the specific model, which stated the size as 255/45ZR18. The parts manager seemed incredulous until he saw the handbook and B pillar.
When the year/model info is clicked, the web sites of Michelin, Continental and Tire Rack indicate 255/45.
The Discount Tire web site indicates 275/40
Either there was a change within the model year or there's a misinformed cyberspace data base.
It's my impression that most '07 XK wheels were larger, but to whom it may concern...
