The part numbers are the same for the XJ and XK Kasuga wheels so they should fit the 5.0L XKR's but not really suitable for the 4.2's.

 

Thanks for the help guys. I really want to buy this car but I feel like I might be in over my head with the wheels. It's funny because I can totally take my Rover engine apart and repair whatever I need to on it but with something like wheels I just have no clue. The more I've read the more confused I've gotten. At this point I don't even know what to look for. Spacers, offsets, sizes, etc. lol

I'd buy the car and just get the right set of wheels. You should be able to get good money for the 22". I did the same on my Range Rover. It came with 22" that rode like crap. I sold them for near the price of OEM wheels with tires. I think I spend like an additional $500 in the end (for used OEM's with new Michelin Latitude'$).

Heck, if you bought a used set of wheels, you could have re-painted black if you want.

 

I wouldn't fret too much - as long as you get a set of wheels from the same model (i.e. 4.2 XK), they will fit. And there are plenty of sets around because some people like to go for custom wheels. In fact, you may be able to arrange a swap with someone for your dubs.

The wheels listed in the workshop manual are Carelia & Jupiter (19") or Senta & Cremona (20") - I've excluded Venus (18") and Sabre (19" run-flat). There may be others, but those are the styles listed for the 4.2 XK. I'm sure someone will correct me if I've missed any.

If you want to be absolutely sure, go to a Jag dealer parts department and get a list of the part numbers of the wheels that were sold to fit your car. Then you can quote those at eBay sellers if they say "Will fit 2007-2009 XK", to check whether they actually know - and of course, if they say the numbers match but it turns out there's a problem, you have an open & shut case for a refund.

And until you get that sorted, you can still drive the car...

JagJoe would you consider 21s , I find these really complement the lines of the xk and don't look out if place
As I recall the ALC (x150 prototype) was displayed with 21s and the green beast xkr goodwill special edition also fitted with 21s

 

yes definetly considering it also maybe 21 f / 22 back . I saw a couple of xks on 22s on ebay rhat look good . I just dont like wheel well space . 22s look perfect on my xj vanden plas

 

Remember, if you choose to fill up the air gap with larger tires, that also makes the car sit higher off the ground, which ALSO detracts from the appearance.
Have you considered wheel spacers as a first inexpensive fix? I'd not recommend them myself for the front, but a lot of people have them. 20mm front, 15mm rear.

If you get good hub-centric ones, the rears would be fine at just over half an inch. Me personally, I'd not space any fronts as the scrub radius would be messed up. BUT... the stock rear wheel size and offset (5.0 liter cars) fits fine on the front and avoids the scrub radius problem as well as having No Spacer. Just some info for you.

 

Check out Detroit Wheel & Tire website for availability of OEM style replacements. Pretty reasonable prices,good experience and quality - I bought rims for a Trans Am there years ago.
