Default 2007 XK hood sensor connector

Hi,
I need to replace the hood sensor switch female electrical connector.
Any ideas how to get this part? I looked at the Connector Guide, not much help; it might be FL057 or FL029, so what...............
It's a two wire; have it shorted to get rid of Hood Open message!
Am I wasting my time?
Any help would be appreciated.........part no., source, etc.

Cheers, Adrian

I had to replace a hood sensor. Mechanic did not have an issue getting the part. What did the dealer say?

Though occasionally some are, often connectors are not available individually from the dealer since Jaguar would much rather sell expensive wiring harnesses and stock fewer parts.

Is it just the latch that is broken? Usually a couple of dabs of RTV will secure it in that case and it can still be separated if ever necessary.

If it is damaged beyond usability, I can try to identify it later in the week and find a source for you when I have access to my car.

Finealy fixed it by replacing connector sockets, checked micro switch (a Ford part no. but not available at Ford!) it worked fine. Hard to remove because of plastic 2 one way clips! So adjusted catch position now it's Ok.......only took a week!!
Could not locate any connectors (EPC brand) found only a mirror image!

Seattle Jag Club Concourse this week end at LeMays Museum (Tacoma)......

Cheers, Adrian
