Its' a small inconvenience, I agree, but it does allow you to select memory points w/o coming to a stop. Just can't do an addy or a point of interest. You can, however, use the joystick to move to a location and press it to enter it as a waypoint. I know, it's not the same. The system isnt' exactly easy to use when moving thru the letters/numbers, so I see how it could be a safety hazard for us drivers to use it...but what if a passenger wants to operate it? It would be nice to be able to use it w/o stopping. Am I for finding out a fix...well, yes and no. lol

The Nav is tied into the abs system so it monitors wheel speed signal. Hence, you come to a stop, no wheel speed you can use it. Moving, wheel speed, no using.
It will be about impossible to bypass it without being detrimental to the ABS system.

I advise against it.

Geez, I can just imagine the codes now...

I can live with a pull over, gives me a reason to grab a wendy's frosty or maybe some fresh tortillas w/cheese from Rosas while i'm inputting an address. [sm=smiley2.gif]
