I don't understand where the arguments coming from. The purpose of the forum is to share experience and information and there got to be someone who knows more and someone knows less. If somethings breaks and we take it to repair, we will not need this forum.
I know some people may be frustrated because people keep asking the same thing but I think this is the beauty of it where information may be already there. Then of course information is not organized like a wiki so often people cannot not find it immediately. Asking the same question is understandable.

The title of the thread is 2007 XKR pedestrian system fault. There was considerable useful debate and a solution to the issue.

The thread was then hijacked into disabling the PPS. This is a MANDATORY SAFETY system within EU and some other markets but not within the US market. Including it was the only way Jaguar were able to get the low front end design of the XK approved. Disabling it is NOT a modification than can in any way be compared with exhaust or lighting changes.
