Default Suspension Fault Alarm severity

I picked up my 03 XKR today and now I have intermittent Suspension Fault Red Alarms.

Before I really look into the issue how serious is the alert? Safe to drive?

i suspect it's electrical, just need to go through the others threads and track it down but want to make sure I can still use the car without concern even with light on.

Thanks!

Do you have any codes?

This might help http://jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepa.../jagxk2003.pdf

Most likely it's a fault with a shock, but you will need to check the fault codes to see what has been logged. As far as safe to drive, it just means the system is disabled and it wont be able to stiffen/dampen the shock electronically. Mechanically the shock will still operate as it should.

It is possible it could be a wiring fault, but have the codes checked first and go from there. If you can get them, you can post it and I can look it up for you.

When has this car not been just serviced :-)

Anyway, only code was P1000.

I raised the seat, juggled all wires I could and then lowered seat.

Started car 6 times in a row without Fault. We shall see...

yay! try and keep the thigh part a little more raised. hopefully that fixed it.
i hear the the electrical stuff gets sensitive on the older cars, so its best to not panic. easier said that done, i know!
