I finally had the opportunity to get into the dealer for some other service and had them check my radio to determine the problem with my am/fm reception. They found that I had a broken optical fiber cable in the right side wiring harness. Replaced the harness ( had to be special ordered from England) and all is well. Now I get all the expected AM and FM stations. If anyone has the same issue contact me and I'll provide the part number.
