I've owned this car for about 6 yrs, absolutely awesome! One question, when I bought it the front bumper/grill had been replaced from a previous minor accident. It is a black car and grill is black, but someone told me the xkr had a silver grill, I cannot seem to locate another or a good Pic to confirm the correct finish for my grill. What should it be and should I have an xk badge on deck lid, there is just an "R". Thanks for the input!

 

Most people in here want to change their chrome-silver grilles TO black, so you may want to consider yourself one step ahead. There would probably be someone near you that would happily trade their silver for your black.

XK badges are cheap on eBay and a little emblem adhesive makes 'em stick.

 

The 2009 XKR had an aluminum finished items on several points: the mesh grill, the side vents, and the trunk plinth. It is possible that someone already did a parts swap like Cee Jay says. This site https://autocatalogarchive.com/jaguar/ has a selection of Jaguar brochures, including one for the 2009 XK, which shows the features differences between the XK and the XKR, as well as the available options (it might be useful to itemize some of the options that were added). You can also enter your VIN in the VIN decoder (under the Tools pull down) and see what your vehicle had when delivered. The brochure also shows pictures of the XKR, so you can see what it looks like with the aluminum added back on. You might also peruse the picture post thread stickied at the top of the forum to see other views of XKRs.
