Default 2009 XKR hunt

Hello to Jaguar world coming from 2006 Maserati Gransport and recently Lexus RC-F at Dubai. Came across a fairly priced 4.2 XKR and it has body parts like XKR S so I wonder if this was an option. Rear badge clearly states R only.

It DOES have "an" aero package on it. i.e. the front splitter, rocker moldings larger Speed Pack spoiler and the rear valance. I can't tell if those are OEM Jag parts or if aftermarket.
The R-S didn't show up until model year 2010.

Nope. Before that 5.0L XKR-S there was a limited production Europe-only 4.2L 2008 XKR-S that was equipped with Alcon Performance Brakes and forged Vortex wheels.

Europe doesn't count because I don't see it right now.

Thanks to all for the contributions. As car is in Dubai, it can be similar to US, EU etc but definitely not UK as its a LH drive car. Car was officially import new to Dubai, not gray.

Some facts to summarize from below. Its definitely XKR without S. But has 400mm Alcon brakes, 20inchb Santa wheels, aero kit, ivory contrast stitched charcoal soft seats. List in detail from owner below:

• Push button start
• Eaton-supercharger
• Active- exhaust
• 32-valve, 4.2-litre aj-v8
• 420 hp at 6250 rpm
• 0–60 mph in 4.9 seconds
• factory fitted body kit and matching alloy
wheels
• The car is porcelain white and the interior is
warm charcoal [not the fake wood alternative]
• High Performance Alcon Brakes with red-
calipers (6-piston front calipers 15.75 inch
diameter) (4-piston rear calipers 13.78 inch
diameter). Includes crescent-shaped race
inspired disc grooves.
• Bowers & Wilkins® High-output, low-distortion
Kevlar® mid-range speakers with specially
designed aluminum-dome tweeters
• 6-speed sequential-shift zf automatic
transmission and ultraquick steering wheel–
mounted paddle shifters, quad exhaust,
enhanced Computer Active Technology
Suspension (ecats™),
• 7-inch colour touch-screen uses Macromedia
Flash® software to enable easy management of
climate, audio, navigation and Bluetooth®1
wireless connectivity. Optional active front
lighting turns self-levelling Bi-Xenon headlamps
to see around bends
• Adaptive Front Lighting (AFL)
• Body-coloured trunk spoiler with integrated
Centre High Mount Stop Light (CHMSL)
• Exterior power-folding electrochromic door
mirrors, power adjustable and heated, with
memory function
• Front Park Control (FPC) – very handy as the
front valance is very close to the ground
• High-intensity LEDs for rear fog light and
reversing lamp Intelligent lighting system
featuring Bi-Xenon headlamps with integrated
corner lamps, automatic headlamp levelling
and headlamps “on ” with wipers, plus front fog
lights and headlamp powerwash
• Jaguar-embossed aluminum-finish trunk plinth
• Reverse Park Control (RPC) with touch-screen
visual aid
• “Supercharged” – embossed body-coloured
hood louvres
• Seats - Driver/passenger 10-way electric
adjustment including 2-way variable lumbar,
variable heating ( 3 setting levels) and manual
headrest adjust. Memory function with 3
settings for driver and passenger seats, driver
exterior mirrors and steering column
• 3-spoke leather steering wheel and leather
gearshift and chrome sides
• Cruise control with Active Speed Limiter (ASL)
• Dual-zone automatic climate control with
humidity sensor and air particle odour filter
• Integrated HomeLink® 1 -compatible garage
door/entry gate opener
• Jaguar Smart Key System – Keyless Entry and
Keyless Start
• Power tilt/telescoping steering wheel column
with memory and programmable tilt-away
entry/exit feature
• Senta cast alloy wheels: 9" x 20" (front), 9.5" x
20" (rear) Tires: 255/35 ZR20 (front), 285/30

Using my limited knowledge (I'm sure someone who knows more will correct me {again}), the ALCON brakes would make it a Portfolio edition. There also is no mention of Speed Pack, so it would appear the aero stuff was installed afterwards.

That white XKR isn't a North American market Portfolio Edition. It's the wrong color and has the wrong wheels. Since Jaguar has different Special Edition models for different markets, it's possible that it's a Portfolio Edition from another part of the world. I noted that it has the unique Portfolio shift knob, as seen below in the photo of my 2009 XKR Portfolio convertible.

Jaguar introduced the North American market 4.2L X150 Portfolio Edition coupe and convertible for the 2008 model year. The Alcon Performance Brake Package was standard equipment for 2008 and was a $5,000 option for 2009. Alcons were also available for base XKR models as a factory special order. Adaptive Cruise Control was a $2,200 option for 2009. I'm not sure if ACC was standard equipment or optional for 2008.

The exteriot color of all Portfolio models was Celestial Black for 2008 and Shadow Grey for 2009. Portfolio-only 20" wheels were Cremonas for 2008 and Selenas for 2009. The OP's white XKR has Sentas.

Portfolio models have unique sill plates embossed with "Portfolio". There are no photos of the OP's sill plates.

Portfolio became a trim option with the 5.0L models.
