So now you know why. Your rear shocks are from the 1st generation XK with 2 position valving.

If this is the case, Belstien has them listed incorrectly on their website. They have 2 different parts listed. One part number for the 2007 - 2009 and another for the 2010 - 2015 models. I have the later model struts that they have listed. I'm sure they could make a mistake but the car has been out for quite some time now. I would assume that if the part number was incorrect that it would have been corrected by now.
Another thing that I don't understand is, Why does it only show the RR as faulty? Both struts measure the same impedance?
I sent an email to the manufacture. We will see if they respond. If the struts are incorrect, from where I'm sitting, they owe me a set of new struts, an alignment, and the labor to install a new set.

Until you replace them with correct units, I simply would not spend time worrying about Adaptive faults.
If it is there afterwards then we can help work on that problem.

BTW,
Please consider putting your year, make and model in your signature section (user control panel). It helps all of us help you.

I hope to hear back from the manufacturer quickly. Does anyone have the correct belstein number? Not the jaguar number. If not the Jaguar may help me to crossrefere. I know the years were different in the us than the UK.

Belstein responded back and said that they are the correct struts and they may need to be programmed by the dealership. Does this sound correct or are they just trying to get out of liability?
is it possible for me to use these struts but install a resistor to lower the impedance to the correct range?
The dealership said 2 hrs at $140 per hour if it can be done.

They are not correct.
This is not a programmable fix.
The shocks you have been sold have a a completely different design.
The first generation units have only two setting, Soft and Firm. This was known as Jaguars CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension) system. (Think of it as an On/Off light switch.) The default setting is firm.
The second generation (2010 and newer) is infinitely variable. This is known as Jaguars ADS (Adaptive Dynamics System). (Think of a light dimmer switch.) Default setting is also firm.

You should not use old CATS shocks on an ADS system. Period.

Does anyone know the part number from belstein or do I have to buy the struts directly from jaguar?
how do you adjust how firm they are? My car has a dynamic mode button and a snow button but that's all I know as far as dynamic mode goes.

There is no adjustment for firmness that I am aware of beyond the console buttons. They are discussed in your owners manual.

I just ordered a set of jaguar spec ones off of ebay. I hope this fixes it. I'm pretty sure they will. Also I hope they let me send these back. On a side note, different websites have different information. Some say the xk and xkr have the same struts and others say they are different. Jaguarparts.com says they are the same but carparts.com have 2 options for the rear. One says without in. Lift/drop

I encourage you to study the online parts suppliers associated directly with Jaguar and its distributors. All your questions and concerns would have been easily answered there. I seldom turn to generic parts distributors without knowing exactly what I am looking for, as they can be vague, confusing and sometimes (Cough-Bilstein) wrong!

Anyhow, glad you are on your way, let us know how this fiasco turns out!
