Hi everyone recently bought a 16,000 mile xkr, other morning when i went out to car and unlocked it as soon as i touched the start button the cooling fans started up! and run flat out constantly until car is switched off they then stop after 1 minute!

work carried out so far, fan control module replaced with new from Jaguar dealer, relay 7 checked and is working fine, could someone point out where the 2nd temp sensor is,checked the front one on the thermosat housing with 2 pin plug and from a resistance check its fine or so im told by a local autospark
any help greatly appreciated at this point #

just to add there was only one fault code P0481 which has since cleared after the fan module was replaced no current codes

 

Is there a 2nd one? (I'm doubtful.)

 

Im guessing so, however with no information only a guess !

 

Look in the workshop manual / elec guide.

 

Don t have one ,autodata useless with this car !can you suggest where i might get one? thanks
