Default 2010 XKR Hotrod on EBay

Have any of you guys seen the 2010 XKR on EBay claiming 600hp from an ETG tune and pulley, plus custom exhaust? I wonder if anyone is willing to buy someone else's hotrod at the price he is asking.

However I do like some of the custom paint touches he has added, particularly to the wheels and some trim pieces. When I find a car I think I will try them. Not so hot on the seat Jaguar images though.

Not a bad price on a low mileage 2010 IMHO. Professionally done by a reputable tuner.

If that were my color, I'd be on a plane to check it out.

I was thinking the same thing, though the description implies it's been flogged a time or two. Guilty.

"by ETG tuning in beverly hills area. they do about 6 of these engines a day"
Really? Six a day? These should be a dime a dozen then! lol

Anyone notice the "Leaper" on the hood? Nice touch.

It's a Courtesy thing, not an Ability thing. Some people are more courteous than others is all.

My first thought was "flogged" also. I like the paint fills on the wheels and trim.

That is a great price for a reasonably low mileage car with upgrades. ETG works on lots of models and makes, so it would not be a stretch to have them do "6 per day." Ralphwg, long time forum member has used their services on his previous XK. I have Eurocharged tune and pulley, so it should be near 600hp. My silver coupe has many of the same upgrades although I have black hood vents as well as some other black accents. I'm tempted to take a ride up to Santa Barbara and take a look. I could always use another XKR convertible.

I have a pulley and ETG tune as well, and when I got mine (before delivery of my car), I was told that it would be 600hp after the tune/pulley by ETG

As TBerg says above I had and ETG tune and a Mina Exhaust on my 2012 XK. I now have the Mina exhaust on my 2013 XKR and am planning on an ETG tune on the XKR in the coming months. The combination of the two on the XK added about 55 BHP to the XK as well as increased the mpg a little bit.

My 1st thought was as others . The tune was done at 5K miles and now it has 40K miles. How heavy was the go peddle exercised.I would be concerned with whether it has been beat up. I wonder how many sets of tires have been used up. Proceed with caution.

Caution is always the right approach!

Having said that, there is not much beating a person living in the US can do to a 600 HP car. IF you just bury the go pedal for more than a few seconds, you are well beyond 100 MPH which is a territory where licence suspension, impounding the car and jail terms are expected.

I used to be one of those people that really hammered my cars that ranged from "built" to Italian exotics. These days, however, with the law having so many ways of recording and catching a speeder the odds are definitely stacked in the LE's favor. Unless the previous owner regularly tracked the car, I doubt that any lasting damage could be expected from even spirited highway driving. Even back in years when I literally and regularly banzai raced my high performance cars, never had any engine or transmission failures.

If I were interested in this car, I'd pay for a thorough inspection and, if passed, would not worry about being driven into the ground. Not as if one lived nearby the German Autobahns where oneu could literally drive the "p*ss" out of any car...

Edit: the one thing that would give me room for pause if I found out that a particular XKR was a Jaguar program car, used in track events, journalist test cars and for demo events with countless 0-60 standing starts and hundreds of autocross runs. I had the pleasure to flog around XKRs just that way.

I can somewhat agree as having driven the autobahn several times and being blown away by the porsche's and large MB's I would think it would be fun driving the Jag over there. Where I think we in the states abuse cars is in the 0-60 or 0-100 range. Not so much the canyon carving drives but the neck snapping light to light drives. Hard on drive train and brakes. So with better then 600HP there would be more of a tickle in the right foot in my opinion. By the way in the 2 years I have owned my XKR I have yet to lay a patch where in my youth with my 63 Corvette 327/340 I would go through a set of rears in a few months with a clutch once a year.

If you liked the 340 h/p you would love my '64 conv. with a ZZ383 stroker. 425hp and 450 torque. Car weighs under 3000 lbs. Rear tires are an endangered species, especially when the 4.11 rear is in the car. But I digress........still looking for the right Jag. to celebrate my 70th.

Lots of action on this car....32 bids. And it is creeping up on the asking price. I'd be surprised if this one didn't sell.
