Default 2012 Instrument Cluster into a 2007 ?

Got a 2012 Cluster spotted and Looking at it , it appears to be the same as my 2007.
Any idea if its a swappable part since its not a module ?
Mine , being a Vert has seen a lot of Sun and the message screen is badly washed out. The 12 is out of a coupe and looks great.

Inquiring minds want some thoughts on this.

The cluster has a LOT of 'stuff' in it. It's married to the car, connects to the keys, I think, and has different parameters on it.

Won’t work, different canbus interface. Also clusters aren’t plug and play since they store critical vehicle info such as keys, odometer, etc.

Although not a module, it is still configurable and there was a change at VIN B32753 so 2007/2012 are neither interchangeable nor plug&play.
