Default 2012 XKR brake pads

So I track the crap out of my XKR and my pads are dead. Front and rears. I can't seem to find anything other than OEM and a company called Centric. I doubt I can trust the Centric brand. I would love to find a slightly more aggressive brake pad that produces less dust. I tried calling EBC, no dice. Any ideas?

"More aggressive" and "less dust" is an unfortunate oxymoron.
Dust is a byproduct of an aggressive pad.

I have never used their pads, so I am of no help there, but Centric is actually a very large company, and now parent to such respected products as PowerSlot and Stop Tech. So although I know nothing of their pad R&D, I would not hesitate to put PowerSlot rotors (or Stop Tech for that matter) on all for corners of my car. I would hope the pads were a byproduct of picking up these respected brands, but just dont know.

For an minimal dust pad, you might go talk to the folks at Porterfield about the R-4S.
They should be one of the better choices for street and maybe the occasional track event.....I've only run their R-4 on past cars and love them like no other, despite the high dust....

Right now I do have an email to them asking for a price to make me a set of R-4E's. (Looks to be a lightly de-tuned R-4 compound). Expected a answer by now so I may have to pick up the phone...grrr

Might also be time to place a call to Hawk as well.... They stop listing pads for Jag at the 2006 model year.... Would like to ask why, as I have high respect for the NRS backing plates they use and huge selection of compounds... <Sigh>

Best of luck

Note:
Just ordered a full set of R-4S for my '07, so I guess I'll find out how they compare to the race pads I use to use years ago....

Where can we order ANY pad for 2012 XKR other than the dealer/Centric? I would rather Hawk/Porterfield/EBC, over the other 2.

Call Porterfield (1-800-537-6842) and ask for Tim. They have access to many brands, and he can tell you your options. Even my XK was limited, so I had them make me a full set of 4 R-4S ($99 fronts, $59 rears).

He may have better options for you.

Wouldn't hurt to tell him Porterfield was mentioned on the forum as a possible source for Jaguar brake pads... (Might encourage them to look at how limited our market is and consider filling the void with greater choices.)
I just hope the R-4S live up to the reputation the R-4 had... Guess I'll find out.
