Default 2012 xkr s 550hp?

Does any one here know how they got to the 550 hp? Is it as simple as a computer change or actual engine internals? Just curious if the 510hp R can get the upgrade to the 550hp without a lot of internal work maybe just a program? Thanks.

If someone writes the code for an uprated ECU, or you can buy an XKR-S ECU which would be pricey I'm sure. The exhaust component of the extra 50hp should be easier as I'm sure there are plenty of aftermarket better flowing systems out there.

What say you gang of thieves to this site? Anyone have experience? He's got a good Ebay rating Jaguar XK8 & XKR Performance Parts, Exhaust Intake Systems, K&N, Borla, Remus, Arden, for Jaguar XK8 & XKR looks to add ~30HP for ~ $2k to the XKR

I have Mina's air intake and the guy who installed it said it's a good kit. As for the exhaust....you can ask Moe as he has the Mina Exhaust and he seems to like their catback exhaust. Talk to Chris at Mina for additional info.

I have the Mina Gallery cat back exhaust on my 2007 XK. I can not say enough good things about it. It has a nice baritone grumble, doesn't over power the car with noise on acceleration, no droning, no crackle on overrun and looks like a piece of artwork.

I have the Mina Gallery cold air intake on my 1998 XJ. My kit did not work out so well. The filter was cheaply affixed to its silicone which caused it to come apart and the adhesive that holds the rubber molding onto the heat shielding failed.

I am going to replace the filter on the XJ with a K&N and then find some adhesive to fix the rubber molding on the heat shieldding.

Default Awesome Customer Service

I can vouch for Mina's customer service as TOP NOTCH... Chris is super friendly, answers all questions honestly and when I wasn't 100% satisfied with an item my refund was processed (less restocking fee) with no hassle and no questions asked.

I'll definitely order from them again.
