Where did you find this statement? And does it mean that every JLR product will ONLY be made in India, or does it mean in India as well as in Britain?

According to India's Economic Times - Looks like most of this will go for export - not looking good for yUK plant.

The factory at Panapakkam in Ranipet district will produce passenger vehicles for Tata Motors and its Jaguar Land Rover unit, and will cater to requirements of both Indian and international markets, the automaker said.

It's more about the LR part than the J part I think. This time next year, there will only be one vehicle with a Jaguar badge on it - the as yet unseen all-electric ultra high-end 4-door GT. Meanwhile, fortunes are being spent by JLR upgrading UK plants such as Castle Bromwich and Halewood (which Jaguar inherited from Ford) for the new electric platform - so there'll still be Jags made in Britain for a few years yet.

The F-Pace will be the only Jaguar available to dealers going into 2025, everything else having been axed and the GT not expected until 2026. A quote from Rawdon Glover, Jaguar MD, in Autocar: "...there will be a period where you will not be able to buy a new Jaguar."

Once they will have switched to electric instead of combustion engines… I will be out anyway.

Hopefully, Elon Musk will be manufacturing Flying Carpets by the time they build that Indian factory.

I will never buy any Musk debacle. Hot garbage is what they are. Decent concept, but the product is pitifully poor for the price.
