Default 3rd gear overriding?

Hi guys
I'm driving 2012 XKR-S, 60,000miles.

I felt suddenly on my way back home today, there was not an any alarm but felt that my car override in low speed at 3rd gear.
I don't know what I mean 'overriding' is correct expression in such situation but it felt like -_-_-_-_ this.
when I put my acc more deeper, it disappeared.

What is the problem?
Should I first change my transmission oil and possibly have any expect it would be better?

Or should I overhaul my transmission?

That “studder” is a known issue with that transmission… on many vehicles, not just Jags.
It can be mitigated.
If its the original fluid and filter, it is now 12 years old… overdue for a service as per ZFs recommendations.
Some have gone to the expense of a control valve body tuning at a ZF facility. This includes replacement of gaskets and solenoids.
Others have gone with aftermarket solutions. Some swear by it… others have lost their transmission.

There is a ZF 6hp… flash available, your car may already have it.
After all these years, I’ve stuck to the simple solution of Jaguar TCM flashing and changing the fluid and filter every 5 years.

Happy to see not only are you learning about your exceptional car but questioning the care of it.

Let me add this useful overview: https://www.bavlogic.com/?p=3738
Cheers!

Tranny fluid change is a good idea, that and driving the hell out of the car afterwards. Does the car do the same in sport mode?

Change transmission fluid. Change transmission filter is optional and is more involved. Then move on...

Thanks for all giving me an advice.
So first thing I take is to change tranny oil first.
All right, I will do right away Sir!

There are various ways to change the fluid, with various levels of pricing. The cheapest can be to dump and refill 2-3 times. Three times = 90% I think. As I said 2-3 times.

Well I have been there once, and plan to change it again in the Spring. While there I had the differential oil changed and found it's level to be low!
