As you all know, the shifter bezel on the 4.2 is really hard to find. Most time, to get a good one, you need to shell out for the entire shifter unit. Usually, ebay units are pretty beat up. But there's strong interest over the past few years to find them
I came across the below company that advertises their 3D prints and sales of the bezel and/or the chrome section of the bezel.
>>>I have not used them or seen one of their units, so cannot vouch.<<<
Yes, pricey ($350 w shipping) so the choice is yours.
Best,

I'm not sure what $300 + $50 shipping buys. I sent the following message to that eBay seller, who is in the UAE:
"Your listing isn't clear. Are you selling (1) the entire shifter assembly, (2) the black plastic cover including the J chrome surround for the shifter, or (3) only the J chrome surround that fits in the black cover?"
I think he could sell all he can produce of the J chrome surround that fits in the black cover for $50 delivered.
Any expert out there who knows how much it probably costs him to make that J surround?
Agreed. Having a scarred up bezel on the 4.2 transmission face made me unhappy. I looked at it every time I started the car, and it annoyed me without fail. Replacements could only be found with the shifter mechanism. I finally bit the bullet and bought a new shifter mechanism to get rid of the visual irritation. I think a like new part was about $475. Yes, $350 is too expensive. But I would have paid for it rather than seeing a sloppy mess every time I got in the car.
As soon as someone bites the bullet and drops the 300, please post a before/after and let us know the feel and quality of the new part.
Looking at the marred up flat black is the bane of my driving experience.
Small dings in the more firm leather pieces are a close second. But I believe those leather filler polishes will fix that at least for a few months at a time.
