These guys specialize in making no-longer-available parts for all kinds of cars.

One part a lot of us need is the fascia for the 4.2 series shifter. Octoclassic makes one for the X100 (LJA6915BG), for which they charge L130.

I figure if enough of us contact them via their website and ask for one for the 4.2 shifter they might build some. Go to the website, start a chat, and ask for the part: a fascia for the shifter unit Jag PN C2P5184. Tell them it's similar to the X100 version (which they sell) but does not have an individual part number.

Do note that while it is very close in appearance, the P/R/N/D/S do not light up.

Also, I tried to order something from them and they are not currently shipping to the US. At all.

I tried bought a chrome reclining handle from octoclassic on eBay. After three weeks, I gave up on it ever arriving.

 

"AVAILABLE ON BACK ORDER" means Not Available.

Has anyone actually gotten a part from them? I tried to order a plastic seat belt latch cover for my XK8. My letter (w color sample because they didn't show it) to the UK was returned. Emailed and was told they're now located in another country. Hard to find repro plastic a great idea but this company doesn't seem trustworthy

 

Can’t find it, but they emailed me about my order less than a month ago saying their postal won’t deliver to the US. Asked if I wanted to keep it open.
I said just let me know if it changes.
